Patricia is a Geospatial Engineer with over ten years working experience. She graduated from Nairobi University with a Bachelors degree in Geospatial Engineering and proceeded to the University of Florence, Italy, to pursue a Masters degree in Geomatics & Natural Resources Evaluation. She completed her PhD from Kenyatta University and the focus of her research was modelling the spatial relationship between built-up volume densities and surface urban heat islands. She has worked in various organizations such as ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross), Oakar Services Ltd & Geoacre Surveys. She currently lecturers at Kenyatta University in the Department of Spatial and Environmental Planning.

Mr. Malachi is a land surveyor and GIS specialist with over 15 years’ experience. He has used GIS concepts to manage data of informal settlements in Kenya from Quick Bird satellite imagery in major towns in Kenya such as Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Eldoret and Nakuru and has piloted a land management tool known as Social Tenure Domain Model (STDM) in collaboration with Global Land Tool Network GLTN-UNHABITAT. His experience also includes: Mainstreaming and working with grassroot communities for effective data collection and management of land and natural resources, Conducting survey for regularization of land tenure alongside development of Environmental and social screening reports for Relocation Action Plan (RAP) during the KISIP 1 Phase under planning and surveying component three, carrying out participatory Geographical Information System (PGIS)- Mapping in various informal settlements across Kenya to support infrastructural and environmental development under component three in the above mentioned towns and cities, using various GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS ERDAS, AutoCAD to edit and map the informal settlements including the facilities within the settlement, using the GPS to densify the digital map in terms of infrastructure facilities such as water taps, lines, link the digital map with the database developed from the enumeration forms to form a geo database which is then analysed through data analytics to aid decision making. He has also worked with RCMRD as a land/GIS officer where he was involved in land and natural resource management for Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Ghana, Uganda and Ethiopia. He is conversant with data analytics, database systems, digitization of land records and development of application interphases for interacting with various land administration processes such as searches, transfers, subdivisions and other land transactions. Worked in capacity building processes in areas such as GNSS application and Processing, GIS and Remote sensing and development of portals. He further worked on a joint project with Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) to create a natural resource geoportal and atlas to support sound management of natural resources.

Eric K. Ngetich is the Head of the Land Survey at Ramani Geosystems Ltd. in Nairobi. With more than 15 years of expertise in the field, he has spent the most of his career guiding the team and the business toward excellence in providing the construction sector with more timely and better Engineering Survey solutions. These include Topographical surveys, above ground and underground utility surveys, digital terrain modelling, corridor alignments and setting out surveys, and Terrestrial Laser Scanning surveys among others. He holds a bachelor’s degree (Surveying) and Master's degree in Project Planning and Management from The University of Nairobi and has completed a variety of courses and attended numerous training sessions and conferences to further season his career. For example, he spoke as a guest speaker in Kisumu, Kenya, during the ISK Africa Regional Conference in 2022.

At LASER, Antony is responsible for managing the overall operations and setting the strategic direction of the company in consultation with the board of directors. Prior to Joining LASER, Antony held senior management roles in several corporate organizations including Bamburi Cement, Sameer Africa Plc, and Jubilee Insurance where he was the Regional Head of Property responsible for providing strategic leadership in the investment, development, divestment, and management of properties across the company’s operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi & Mauritius. Antony’s academic accomplishments include a first-class honours degree in land economics and a master’s degree in valuation and property management both from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a diploma in business management from the Association of Business Executives (UK) and an executive programme certification in circular economy and sustainability strategies from Cambridge Judge Business School.
